MTI Receives a Letter Of Intent from Alcatel-Lucent for RF RRH |

Hsinchu, Aug 26, 2009 - Microelectronics Technology Inc. (MTI), a leading supplier of microwave / RF equipment, and both of its subsidiaries Global PCS Inc.(GPCS) & MTI Laboratory Inc. (MTIL, former TelASIC Communications Inc.), a special RF base station subsystem design houses under MTI Group, today announced that the company has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Alcatel-Lucent to supply its 3G/W-CDMA RF RRH (Remote Radio Head) as part of Alcatel-Lucent's mobile networking solutions. The RRH product is mainly used for outdoor applications. Under this LOI award, shipments will begin Q42009. In addition, MTI/MTIL/GPCS has also been selected as one of the vendors for its indoor integrated wireless solutions.
Alcatel-Lucent has extended its relationship with MTI/MTIL/GPCS to provide the 3G/W-CDMA RF RRH (Remote Radio Head) for current and future network expansions supported by Alcatel-Lucent.
MTI/MTIL/GPCS has served as a supplier to Alcatel-Lucent for many years, supplying mobile base station key modules, including GSM Transceiver, TDMA power amplifier and WCDMA/CDMA power amplifiers.
